A workspace owns everything: sources, gateways, events, alert channels and API keys. It is also the unit that plan limits and billing apply to. Every request — from the dashboard, the API or the CLI — acts inside exactly one workspace.

New accounts start with one workspace. You can belong to several, and the switcher in the top bar changes which one you are working in.

A workspace always has exactly one owner. The owner cannot leave or be removed — transfer ownership first, which promotes the new owner and makes you an admin.

API keys always act as members, whoever created them. See API keys.

Open Team in the left navigation, click Invite, and fill in the Email and the Role. The invite is emailed as a link and is valid for 7 days; if the address has no account yet, the link leads through registration and joins the workspace afterwards.

Pending invites count against your plan’s member cap, so revoke the ones nobody accepted.

From the member list on the Team page, an admin or owner can change a role or remove a member. Nobody can promote anyone to owner — that is what Transfer ownership is for.

Removing someone revokes their access immediately. Their sources, gateways and events stay in the workspace; only their access goes away.

Any member or admin can leave a workspace from the switcher. The owner has to transfer ownership first.

An owner can delete a workspace. This removes its sources, gateways and stored events, and the ingest URLs stop answering. There is no undo, so move anything you still need — or export it through a gateway — first.
